"Hello" reached number one in almost every country it charted in. In the United States, "Hello" debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, reigning for 10 consecutive weeks whilst becoming Adele's fourth number-one on the chart and breaking several records, including becoming the first song to sell over a million digital copies in a week. By the end of 2015, it had sold 12.3 million units globally and was the year's 7th best-selling single.
The video broke the title of most views in a single day Vevo record by achieving 27.7 million views. "Hello" shifted 1.1 million downloads in its first seven days in the US, becoming the first song ever to sell over a million downloads in a week. The 25 album is taking up plenty of space in the Guinness Book of Records. It sold a whopping 3.38 million copies in its first seven days of release.
